Results of the “Liguria in Bilancio” Research Project Presented
On 20 May 2026, the results of the research project “Liguria in Bilancio – An Analysis of the Performance of Ligurian Limited Liability Companies (2022–2024)” were presented. The study was commissioned by Camera di Commercio di Genova and carried out by the Department of Economics and Business Studies research team coordinated by Professor Alberto Quagli and comprising Professors Francesco Avallone, Paola Ramassa, Elisa Bonollo, Costanza Di Fabio and Elisa Roncagliolo, together with Dr Massimo Albanese and Dr Alessandro Bulgarelli.
The research analyses the 2022, 2023 and 2024 financial statements of approximately 15,000 Ligurian limited liability companies, providing an up-to-date picture of the regional economy through an examination of corporate performance and the economic, financial and balance-sheet dynamics that have shaped Liguria’s business environment.
During the presentation event held at the Camera di Commercio di Genova, Professors Quagli, Avallone and Ramassa illustrated the main findings of the study, highlighting the key trends affecting the regional production system and offering insights into the conditions of Ligurian companies across different industries and size categories.
Overall, the study contributes to a better understanding of the transformations currently taking place in the regional economy and provides evidence that can support policy decisions and regional development strategies.
