Do you have any difficulties, special needs, or requests?
Contact the student representatives. They are fellow students whose role is to represent the needs, concerns, and proposals of the student body within the University.
What are the roles of student representatives?
- They take part in official meetings of the Board of your Degree Program, the Department of Economics Council, the School of Social Sciences Council, and the central governing bodies of the University (Academic Senate and Board of Directors).
- They contribute to decisions concerning teaching, academic regulations, student services, and more.
- They promote dialogue between students and university institutions.
- They serve as a link between students and faculty, program coordinators, the Department Director, administrative offices, and other university bodies.
- They protect students’ rights by reporting issues, irregularities, or injustices.
- They promote initiatives such as cultural and sports events, workshops, and share ideas to improve student life.
How do you become a student representative?
Student representatives are elected by students at regular intervals.
Taking part in elections is an opportunity to make your voice heard and help build a better university environment.
Running as a candidate means having the chance to represent your peers, engage with university governance, gain a deeper understanding of how the institution works, and share ideas and projects for improving your University.
