Curriculum | Dr Stefano Filomeni is a Lecturer in the Finance Group of Essex Business School (University of Essex, Colchester - UK). He is also an adjunct Senior Lecturer in the Finance Group of Aberdeen Business School (University of Aberdeen, Aberdeen - UK). After being awarded a Bachelor’s Degree (Business Administration) and a Master of Science (International Management) by Bocconi University (Milan, Italy), he pursued a challenging path that combined managerial experience in banking with a rigorous doctoral program. He felt that this combination would best prepare him to pursue his passion for an academic career in finance. On the one hand, before joining academia in 2017, he had worked for the Intesa Sanpaolo Banking Group since 2010 in both commercial (Intesa Sanpaolo) and investment banking (Banca IMI). Moreover, before joining Intesa Sanpaolo Group, he worked for UniCredit Group in the Corporate and Investment Banking Division. On the other hand, in March 2014 he was awarded a Ph.D. in Economic Sciences by the Polytechnic University of Marche (Faculty of Economics “Giorgio Fuà”, Ancona - Italy), with a specialization in empirical banking and finance. Project | During his visiting period at the University of Genoa, Dr Stefano Filomeni fruitfully cooperated with his Supervisor Laura Nieri, Full Professor of Banking and Finance, Rosalia Santulli, Assistant Professor of Corporate Finance, and Stefano Pisera', Research Fellow in Corporate Finance. While at the Host Department, Dr Stefano Filomeni actively conducted research activity focusing on corporate sustainability and financial literacy of micro and small enterprises (MSEs) in Italy. | |
