Exemptions from TE.L.E.MA.CO.
You are exempt from passing the TE.L.E.MA.CO. and Assessment Test B1 if:
- you have obtained a high school diploma grade of 90/100 or higher (or equivalent grade for qualifications obtained abroad)
- you are enrolled in another course of study at the University of Genoa, or at another university, and you apply for admission, having already acquired at least 12 CFUs in courses corresponding to SSDs included in the study plans of the study course
- you have a university degree or a Bachelor's degree
- you have passed the test during entry orientation experiences organised by the study course
- in 2020 you enrolled in a UniGe study course related to Economics and you have already passed TE.L.E.MA.CO. or TE.S.E.O.
Assessment test
If you are exempt from TE.L.E.MA.CO., and therefore also from the Assessment test, take this English test anyway, as a B1 is a prerequisite for taking the compulsory English for Business and Economics exam. So book the Assessment test on one of the reserved dates in November or December 2021.
If you do not pass the Assessment Test, the University of Genoa gives you the opportunity to fill in your English language gaps by attending a compulsory course and subsequent B1 test. To find out more, go to the English B1 Competence page.
